Are these people wrong?

are they? in there care sheet it says to put baby sulcatas in alfalfa pellets and you guys told me to use cypress mulch? so what do i use? and they also said dont let the babies stay outside. you guys said i could. i was going to leave him outside and make a little house with a heat lamp in there. is that fine? and i might buy my baby from these people so let me know i like theyre baby albino sulcatas.

Absolutely, never use those pellets...reason why is they don't hold in moisture and it is important to house your torts depending on species in a humid climate.....cypress mixed with coco fiber of sphagnum moss 50/50 is how i do mine.

Yes they are wrong. No pellets, get outside as much as possible when temps permit, and I wouldn't listen to any of their other advice they may have given you. There are many very knowledgable people on this forum, that knows the correct way. Ask all questions here. I bought my leopard from what I thought was a very knowledgable breeder. I listed to her until I found this forum, and found out I got bad info and now my tort has some pyramiding:( Thankfully though, due to this forum and it's members, I got new growth to grow smooth. There are a lot of breeders and others out on the net that still don't know the proper care.

Its just a very old site that hasn't been updated in a long time. We used to keep tortoises that way, but have evolved and learned.
