anyone seen there baby star eat baby star poop?

I see this with the adults as well. If they are healthy there should be no problem. A reminder not to mix wc and cb.

thanks well i only got one but he is captive bred hatchling. He usually poops in the water when i soak em,but if i dont get to him before he poops in the morning he will be out walking around taking bites outta poop nuggetts,

REALLY? its ok for them to eat poop? cuz at first thought i was against that cuz i thought that he thought it was a mazuri pellet or sumthing.lol

that is just dumb. I would not let him eat it. I've seen several types of turtles , tortoises, and even dogs do this but you want to prevent it if possible.

Its normal for baby tortoises to eat tortoise poop. It helps to populate the gut with the good bacterium, etc.

Best I can do to show they're surviving fine.

The best I figure is they are either hungry or they might be missing something and replenishing their diet.... or both...
