Hi I've just purchased some aloe vera and I was wondering if it was ok to put it in the tortoise's enclosure?

Thank you

Brian

I know that Greek Tortoises can eat Aloe Vera, but I've read (from another thread) that it's not too good for them to eat too much since it's high in oxalic content.

Therefore I would like to know whether or not it's ok to leave the whole plant within their enclosure.

Thanks

I would probably not place the plant in the enclosure as you have no control over how much they would eat at one time. Plus if you just got the plant (Not from an organic store) it more than likely has fertilizers or chemicals on or in its soil and will need time to have them leach out.
