Which is more challenging to keep in captivity, the Aldabra or the Galapagos tortoise? Not that I'm planning on keeping them, but I'm curious, since both are tropical volcanic island tortoises that can grow to weigh about 500 lbs.

I Would Say Galapagos
No 1st hand experience, but my best guess would be that they're about the same...if you live somewhere where they can live outside year 'round, have a huge yard and can afford to feed one, I'd think they'd be a wonderful pet.
I am with terry with this one, I think they are both very majestic animals, of which both need special attention,
and a yard the size of a soccer pitch. lol
