It is helpful to add weight and dimensions. Have you got kitchen scales and able to weigh in grammes? It is fun to keep a log as they grow. I weight weekly on a Sunday after soak time. Looking at the pic I say under 1 year a hatchling.

It's a hatchling, probably hatched in September. And since you're in Florida, it's more than likely a gopher tortoise, which is illegal for you to own.

Gopher Tortoises have nuchal scutes and this tortoise doesn't have one. It is a sulcata.

Please understand that most of the care info for this species is old, based on incorrect assumptions of how they live in the wild, and just plain wrong. Most likely everything the pet store told you is wrong. If they sold you lighting and housing items, those are likely wrong too.

Here is the current and correct care info:

About the age: Look closely at your tortoises snout and see if you see a little tiny spike. This is the egg tooth. They usually fall off by about 6 weeks old. If there is still and egg tooth, then this is a new hatching. If not, then its older than 6 weeks. We can tell more from a plastron pic too.
