So my "garden" was taken over this summer by weeds an other plants and I wanted to see if any of them would be ok for my dalmatian Hermann hatch-ling to eat. I took a few photos and honestly it is a jumbled mess because everything gets tangled up in vines down here -_- but if there is something yummy that I can give to my little guy I want to do it before it gets cold and the weeds retreat.

I can't help you except to have you look on the tortoisetable.org and see if you can find them on there. There pictures, so it might be easy.

The first two pictures show blooming lantana (toxic) with vetch in and around (edible).
3 - ?
4 - more vetch
5 - ?
6 - more vetch and some wild radish
7 - The round leaf is creeping charlie - toxic
8 - Same as 7, which I THOUGHT was CC, but it isn't, so ?

Well apparently some of the flowers are chrysanthemum that my sister drop off and forgot about lol. Well I guess it looks like none of that is any good. I think I will get a seed mix from carolinapetsupply.com they have a mix that has the following:
Crimson Clover
Red Clover
Creeping Red Fescue
Turnip Greens
Fescue
Kentucy Blue Grass
Orchard Grass
Wheat Grass
Oat Grass
Rye Grass
Chia
Chicory
Timothy Grass
I am having a hard time finding good things for him to eat right now besides what is at the store. I got some Dandelion greens and watercress today and I also have been feeding him Kale and a small amount of carrot. Every now and then I give him some romaine heart lettuce because he really seems to like it. I just want to make sure that he is getting the best food possible because he is so little right now. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I will also add that I live in the deep south eastern US (Mobile AL) so that may help if someone tries to identify more. Thanks for all of the help!

Tortoisesupply.com has a really good "Testudo Mix". I love the stuff and it grows really well for me. You can also look into potting some spineless opuntia pads for the winter.

If you must use grocery store greens, tortoisesupply also sells a product called "Salad Style". It is basically blended hay that you sprinkle on top of the food to add some much needed fiber.
