Spring weeds have come in (don't worry, this area of my yard is pesticide-free!) and my boyfriend is hoping to dig them out soon so we can start gardening. I asked him to wait a couple of days to see if some of the tortoise peeps are able to identify them as safe plants for our Russian tortoise, and then I will go re-plant them in our enclosed tortoise garden.

A friend of mine came over recently and thought #1 was Bermuda grass, but I'll let the readers here confirm. I tried to number them #1-8 (the numbers are above the photos). Thank you for your help!! :D

OK, well thanks, guys. I did get some great input from The Tortoise Table! ;) Maybe I can look up some plant apps for our Android tablet too...

What were they all, did you ever find out?
For future reference, you know.

3 and 5 are Brassica-family plants, and are probably OK in moderation. I would not offer any of the rest.
