They understand and are happy he's gone to the perfect home where his new mom and dad are incredibly stoked to have him. They're just a bit bummed, as am I, but the good definitely outweighs the bad in this situation. Plus his new owners have already sent us pictures and are going to keep us updated. Which means the world to an 8yr old! He can't wait to go back to school and tell everyone how he fostered a giant tortoise. He also told me I was a cool mom! Hehe so it's all been more than worth it. Nice experience all around!
