Lodi, CA reptiles breeder show

My girlfriend and I are going to the VIP to the reptile breeder show. I hope it is interesting. We recently tried to make it to the sacramento show, but the line was out the door and around the corner! I'm hoping that being there an hour before, as VIP will help. Let me know anyone that wants to go/is going! Here's the link to the event.

Have you ever been to GBU enterprise exotic pets store? It's really fun to walk around in. But, the animals are cramped and not properly cared for. Expected for a place that has tht many reptiles!

I havent seen it. I mostly stay out of pet stores.. they tend to irritate me. Then i irretate them by telling their customers how the animals should be cared for... one day ill learn how to keep my mouth shut. Until then i avoid them...

Fair enough, it was difficult to see. They had some beautiful pancakes, baby Russian, western spotted water turtles, yellow marinated box turtles. But they weren't in good living conditions even though the marginated were his "babies". They sure were beautiful.

A quick review:

Three vendors with tortoises. Prices medium to high.

Leopards grossly pyramided and displayed in the same enclosure as some blue toungue skinks - gbu reptiles, would not have received them for free. A very expensive ($375) smallish pancake.

Sunland Breeders had several species, common, but all look good. Hermans, Greeks, Russians, and rational prices.

Don't recall the other, but just sulcatas.

Lots of vendors, no crush of attendees, crapy refreshment choice. $10 entry.

I'll go again.

Will

Well, as they said in the olden days, "Where's the beef?" You can't post a review of a turtle show without pictures!

This was the first show I've ever been to. It was really small, but rather exciting! I went with my girlfriend and a forum member (waterboy). I was impressed with the unique snakes that were there, I'm not familiar with snakes at all so I don't know what species they were. I know you guys like pictures, so here they are. I was too lazy to get the ones off my camera, but these are off I my phone.

These were the smallest leopards I've vet seen, yet SO active.

It wa my goal to hold a tartanchula, for the first time. I think it was a rose hair.
I didn't plan on holding the emperor scorpion, it made me quite nervous e.

Awe, yeah, it was this past Saturday. The nearest next one is I'm September (I think) in sacramento. That one is supposed to be big.
