Jessica that was awful nice of you to take care of this woman's torts. I know we can't always be 100% awesome but why do people get new homes where their babies can't come!? Anyways I hope this all worked out. Youre a very good friend.

I appreciate that. I tend to gravitate toward animals, so it was a no brainier to take them and care for them. I could never imagine moving and not taking every animal with me. Another crazy story is when I bought my farm, the previous owners left their dog. The house had been vacant for years, they only came back to feed him. Heartbreaking but he is so spoiled now....so it ended well.

In my country( Denmark) I saw 30 years ago an ad about a man wanting a free tortoise, as it was his field of interest!
Same telephone number also had sales ad for tortoises (another section).!
Nowadays in the ads in Denmark I see between 5-10 % begging for free or very cheap tortoises!
Animals and money can be a nasty combination , whatever the animal is.
