Hey there you south of Southern California turtle and tortoise people . . .
The San Diego Turtle and tortoise Next Meeting,
Friday, January 10th,
7:00PM at Balboa Park.
Free and open to all. Special guest speaker will be Matt Thomas, new owner of Pet Kingdom and former employee of San Diego Zoo. Topic is "Care of Larger Breeds of Tortoises."
So I wouldn't expect a past zoo man to call them "breeds" but I guess the pet shop aspect of his career has forced him to 'know his audience'.
This is not a pet shop where you will ever feel compelled to 'rescue' an animal.
