I'm worried Ninja may have URI

OK thanks. I think I was worrying a bit. I got home today and she was soaking in her little tray of water that I leave for her in the yard at all times (which of course was dark brown poo water) and had her face in it a little, so when I walked up to her and she pulled her head in she blew a...

I'm worried Ninja may have URI

My husband said he saw the infamous nose bubble yesterday and I'm sort of freaking out. I am, of course!, going out of town this weekend, and working until then, so unable to take her in to a vet until next Wed (I'm in the Phoenix area, and would appreciate any recommendations, Dr. Driggers I...

    I love her!

The grass is quite nice, but my husband does get tired of having to mow it year round. The dogs like it though. She's six. Born July 14 2004. She weighs 25 lb and is only about 15 long. I suppose she's small for her age, but maybe she'll make a growth spurt here some day.

    I love her!

Thank you for all the nice comments! I can't take much credit for her beauty, she was adopted by me about 3-4 months ago. Her previous owner took great care of her. She has free roam of our yard, which is in Arizona so we are lucky to have a nice bunch of grass for her. She was so happy to...

    How much?

OK, I was thinking that all along but I love to feed her! I'll scale it back. She seems to go a couple of days or more sometimes not eating anything and then consequently not pooping anything, and I worry she doesn't like the grass enough, picky tortoise. But I know about teaching tough...

    How much?

This is kind of a dumb question, but in all of the reading I've done I haven't gotten a good guideline on how much/how often to feed? Ninja is 6 years old, about 25 lb, and has free reign of our yard to eat as much grass as she wants. It's rye grass in the winter (Arizona winter lawn) and...

    Newbie!

Hi Yvonne I found some pictures online to compare and she's definitely a girl! I do think her previous owner did well as she isn't too bumpy. I've been worried since it is so dry here that I haven't been keeping her moist enough. I soak her about once a week. She lives outside, in the...

    introductions

RE: Welcome to TortoiseForum.org ! Hi My name is Sarah. Ninja is my Sulcata. We adopted her from a veterinary technician I worked with about 3 months ago because she moved and didn't have any grass for her. Ninja has not ever had any hay, etc and won't eat it so she was living on greens...
