I've looked at diagrams and read threads here but I'm posting just for some clarification. My cherry head just turned 2 years old today, as far as my understanding goes, I believe it's it's female. Please reply and let me know what you think.
Real quick question, been trying to grow grasses in my tortoise table for my cherry head but with no luck. Everything I put in there, seed or pregrown, simply dies off. My next step was to try and put dandelions in there for her to snack on, wanted to know if the Italian dandelion is ok for her...
I just cleaned and upgraded the enclosure about a month ago, it is 3' by 2' and 12"deep (I know it is small but he is only a baby). Lighting I have florescent uvb on timer and for heat ceramic bulb 24/7. Heat stays at steady 80 and humidity at a steady 80% to 90%.
I have a tortoise table for my amazing cherry head, and would like the natural touch of pants in there for him to eat and hide in BUT everything I put in there (pregrown or seed) dies within a week or two. Suggestions here?
I have a gorgeous cherry head, 9 months old, that I feel could use a little more calcium in his diet. I mix his meals up with kale, green leaf, steamed carrots, squash zucchini, and green pepper (and a few raspberries a week). This being said he refuses to nibble on a cuddle bone and doesn't...

I've had my cherry head tortoise for about a month now. I have a regular routine for it in the morning and a set time for lamps on and off and a feeding schedule. I have noticed that he spends most of not all of his day after his morning soak in the darkest corner of his enclosure (I assume...
That is good to know ... I didn't know to keep my top layers dry. His age is unknown, but he is only about 2.5 inches big ... maybe 3. I do let him roam my house or outside for about an hour a day when I get off work.
I just added a top to my enclosure to keep humidity and temperature at proper levels for my Cherry Head hatchling (levels are sustained at 90ºF and humidity at 80%). This all being said I have noticed that my tortoise's shell is SLIGHTLY soft now and I am wondering if this is normal or how to...
