    growing own grasses/ weeds

I decided to grown my own good for my African sulcata![SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]. However I looked into tortious supply and the seeds aren't badly priced. I just don't want to pay the $11 shipping for little seed packs. Does anyone else have another site that they buy their seeds from ?

    Growing food!

I recently read a thread that tom sent me. It had websites and lists of good you could grow to feed your torts. I live in pa, so this would be very helpful for the winter months. Any suggestions on what is the best to grow for your tort? I have an African sulcata. And I don't have much of a...

Yes he is a rescue. I live in pa do he has the indoor UVB during the cold months. When it's warm enough for him outside he is out there. I know mbd is not reversible..so I'm just trying to make him more healthy and hope he grows larger and stronger. I love him, idk what I would do if he does! )...

    Wooden indoor enclosure -humidity issues

I was doing research on how to make them. And one site was saying if you take a plastic tote and cut a hole just large enough for the tort to get in and out that it works pretty well. And the humidity stays inside. I think I will try this. And then the substrate being play sand and a type of...

    Pyramiding

I got my African sulcata from my cousin. I guess a lot if you guys would say rescinded due to the amount of pyramiding he has. However, because he has pyramiding will he continue to grow large in size? He is 5 years old and about 10 inches long. And roughly 6-7 inches wide. I've seen other torts...

    Proper enclosure size

My sully is roughly 5 lbs, and no longer then a foot. I'm looking into making him an outdoor year round enclosure. What would be a good length by width ? I'm hoping to only have to make one for the rest of his lifespan..so keep that in mind. Thank you in advance!

    Hard wood floors !

I have a sulcata that roams freely in my home. All of my floors are hard wood..or tile in the bathroom and kitchen. I noticed sometime last week when u picked up my tort that he had smooth spots on his back feet..I'm assuming it's from when he walks on the floor bc he somewhat slides. I pressed...
