She has been on a antibiotic since she was diagnosed missing a kidney and having reflux at 2 weeks old. Anytime she gets sick she has to be catheterized to check kidney function and make sure there is no infection. She will need surgery when she reaches her time to start her cycle because her...
In a way yes, she will be on antibiotics the rest of her life and will need surgery a few times but she is great. Thank you for asking. Il have to post some pics of her with her rocky the suly. Thanks everybody for all the help and support.
If you guys need any help let me know I'm just in greenwood not far from you. I've received help when my little girl was born missing a kidney and had a infection in there and would love to be able to pay it forward. We are praying for you and your family.
Tom the first pic is him now, the second one with the heating pad and coil bulb is when I picked him like I said in the post. He now eats greens, grass, mazuri and chopped hay mixed in his mazuri along with soaks every other day with a power sun bulb in his house. And a Che 100watt.
Here he is the day I rescued him from his old family a year ago.

About 4 from what I was told when we got him. The previous owner said he was around 3 when we got him. He was little when I got him about 8" I would say but from then on out he has become quite the big guy now. Rough 10" as of...
Well it's been 8mo the since I posted a picture of rocky, he used to be Rosie till he proved me wrong. He is doing great and growing like a weed with tons of great growth. He is a permanent member of are family and a great friend.
^ I said that out loud to my wife and she had a good laugh also. I come from a small farm town and have odd sayings for everything lol. Glad to give you a good laugh. Hosey sounds pretty good also but I wonder how I can explain the name choice in a pg rated manner lol.
I sure hope he does relax somewhat with it. I don't want to have to explain to my 3 and 4yo why he has five legs now. My wife asked about naming him diesel since he is a big strong block and I'm a engine builder for Caterpillar and international.
Well I guess Rosie finally got tired of being called a "she"and decided to flash me. It was a normal evening of getting a nightly soak and dinner hand delivered. After dinner I decided to turn the shower own to rinse him all off and a shell rub. With the water running on his back and the shell...
Your right it was. That was the day we picked her up and in her old enclosure at her last family. She gets the good ole powersun now and lots of sunlight.
Thanks a Tom Tom that means alot coming from you, in the earlier post I said she had no humity also and she wasn't even soaked but once a week. She's great now and a ball off energy.
She looks great compared to how she looked when I brought her home. When I picked her up she lived on clay dirt and mulch with zero humidity and iceberg lettuce. Here is a pic the day i picked her up.
I adopted Rosie around Xmas time and she had some pyramiding from her past parents from no MVB or sunlight but now lives the life of a queen tort lol. How's she looking on new growth? Thanks
That was totally pointless for them to try and catch a meal in that manner. I myself am a outdoorsman and to catch a meal and then to wrestle with it and drag it up a bank on its back does nothing but taint the meat with adrenaline tightening the muscles and making it very tough. That was just...
