    Help! (bloody cloaca)

Thank you. They were previously living in a card board box with no heating or lights when I took them in from their previous owners. Living on hay. Only dandelions as food source. So they're pretty content living a better life now. A lot of variety and warmth now. They love to lay under their...

Lol, that was their treat. They typically only get greens. And they do have their own enclosure. Although they do bathe together occasionally.

    Help! (bloody cloaca)

I know they are Russian Tortoises. The smaller one is Male and the Larger one is Female. They came to me together, not sure if there siblings of the same batch or not. Does anyone know the Sub species of them? I've read somewhere on TFO that there are Sub species of Russian Tortoises.

    Baby Sulcata/humidity

The weather has been crazy!!! I don't mind the snow, but the ice is a bit too much. Haha. Especially since I'm not used to it. The cold is a bit much too!! Not caring for the cold weather. So glad my babies are nice and cozy indoors. What species of critters do you have?

    Baby Sulcata/humidity

Currently I keep his enclosure moist by mixing in water to his dirt about 1x weekly and spraying/misting it down with water daily, but what are some of the best ways to keep the humidity just right in the enclosure?

Thank you all for the advice. I will try warming the water a little more. Yes, that glass baking pan is dedicated to him. I have a ton of them. Lol

Question RE: Sulcata (beak movement & noise during soak)

Nope. He's in luke warm, baby bath temp water. I feel like it's his way of chirping as if he doesn't want to be in the water. Similar to like a dog whining about something he doesn't like. Haha. Doesn't sound like it's bad.

Question RE: Sulcata (beak movement & noise during soak)

I'm curious as to why my Sulcata is making small movements with his beak (mouth) and slight noises when it's soak time. It's as if he has a nervous tick when he's in water. Is it his way of "calling out" like he doesn't want to be in the water? He only does this when it's soak time daily. He...

    Help! (bloody cloaca)

I was holding him and my ornate box turtle. My ornate box turtle bit me and out of shock, I accidentally dropped my Russian tortoise. I'm assuming he landed on his tail.

    Help! (bloody cloaca)

I have a Russian tortoise bleeding from the butthole to the end of the tail due to it being split open from a fall. Not bleeding too bad and he did have a bowel movement afterwards. He's keeping it pretty tucked and normally doesn't. Not sure what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?
