Ive got a couple of russian tortoises that ive seen mating this spring. A couple of days ago the female dug a nest and laid two eggs. I transfered them to an incubator with 32 degrees C and 70% relative humidity. The same female laid 5 eggs last year, none wish was fertile however. So im...

My combined musk turtle and tortoise table

Its a variegated Creeping Fig Very easy to take cuttings and just stick in the moist soil. The ones groing on the wall are actually just rooted in the moss groing on the cork bark background.

My combined musk turtle and tortoise table

Thank you :) Normally i keep the tortoises outside on my balcony where they spend most of the year. When the temperature drops I keep them in this one, unless they are hibernating, then i use a combined hibernator/incubator thingy i bought a few years ago. Latest pics! [hr]...

My combined musk turtle and tortoise table

Thank you! so nice to hear :) Im sitting here, looking at it and wondering if its possible to break it down into sellable parts,, and it might be, but i think the arrangement is abit to complex. The goal for me (and most people) is to create a natural look, and no stone or root look the...

My combined musk turtle and tortoise table

Thanks! yes, the land part consist of filter filter material beneath a layer of soil, and beneath that it is the tube to an external filter. The waterfall is also driven by a separate smaller external filter. The total filtration system is a bit overkill for a tank of this size.

My combined musk turtle and tortoise table

Id like to share some pics of my DIY project consisting of a tortoise table with a low aquarium on top to accommodate my small musk turtles. Since I live in a small appartement, this solution fitted me well. The lower tortoise table is a bit small for adult russian tortoises and its main...

RE: fertile eggs ? -NEW EGGS ! UPDATE! Ive noticed that the female have increased in weight pretty much since she layed the two eggs at the third of september, which i found pretty strange. Now Ive discovered why.. This morning (19/9) I found three newly laid eggs nicely burrowed in the...

    fertile eggs ?

Hi ! My russian tortoise layed two eggs seven days ago. Ive looked for clues to see if they are fertile or not, but since its my first time, Im a bit low on experience. Ive read that one of the signs is that the egg is "chalking over", but i havent seen that yet in my eggs, on the other...
