    Something Stuck in Throat?

Yes, I have 95-100 degrees basking temps and cooler ends are always at at least 80 degrees. I try my best to keep humidity at 70-80 percent, and at night the temps are around 80 degrees, although I do keep a heat lamp above her while she sleeps, so a little warmer than that for where she sleeps...

    Something Stuck in Throat?

I've been researching a little, and I think it might be respiratory infection. My dad has tried calling a vet, and she thinks it's a cold? My dad says that what she means is a respiratory infection though.

    Something Stuck in Throat?

Hello, I'm posting this thread because my baby Greek tortoise seems to be in pain. She keeps opening and closing her mouth, almost as though there's something stuck in her throat. She's writhing around her enclosure, and she doesn't seem to have much control over her body. I have her in her...

Baby Greek random bursts of activity and lack of appetite

Okay! I'll try adding some safe live plants inside of her enclosure. However, it may take a few days... I have tried making her whole space darker by turning off my room lights(not her mvb lamp) and putting a towel over the tops of her enclosure to help make it darker.

Baby Greek random bursts of activity and lack of appetite

Something that has changed is that I added more substrate(coconut coir) into her enclosure, it used to be 1-2 inches deep, but I have added more to 3-4 inches deep right now. I have noticed that she hasn't burrowed after I deepened the substrate, but she seems a little busy running around, so I...

Baby Greek random bursts of activity and lack of appetite

Baby Greek random bursts of activity and lack of appetite

Hello, I've been seeing some concerning things in my baby Greek tortoise. I got her a little more than a month ago, and she hasn't eaten for nearly a week, and today has had multiple bursts of energy. She'd be in her hide, and suddenly run out at full speed for no apparent reason. Then she'd...

What MVB light should I buy for my Greek tortoise?

Thank you for the advice! I don't understand what you mean by "regular heat", but I will be using a little bit of sand and coconut fiber husk from Eco Earth.

What MVB light should I buy for my Greek tortoise?

Thank you for the additional information!! At first I was going to buy from turtletown, but later realized that many people had bad experiences with it, and so settled on myturtlestore.com.

What MVB light should I buy for my Greek tortoise?

Hello! I'm new to TortoiseForum, and I'll introduce myself first before asking my question. I am currently still in school and have newly decided to get a tortoise as a new addition to the family. I've loved turtles and tortoises my whole life, and just never got to buying one because I was...
