Yes he has 4 meals a day. Is almost 1kg now
He eats grasses, weeds and everything.
But if I take him out for a walk. He would actively sniff for poop to eat. I have to remove him everytime from the dog poops that he found!

Also he devoured his own poop as well if I don't remove it quickly.

Does poop taste like candies to them?

This is normal, not good, and one more reason why tortoises and dogs each need their own area where the other one doesn't go.

In the wild, most tortoises are opportunistic and will eat carrion or mammal feces when they find it. Not I practice I would encourage in a captive situation.

Ours can sniff it out a mile away! We don't have any other pets but the neighbors cats do like to use our back yard as their toilet. Although we always remove the visible poop before we let him out, he can sniff out the dried old poop that's been buried for a while!! I watch him like a hawk so if he starts to dig, I go look and sure enough cat poop!! They're like toddlers that put everything in their mouths!
