So I put the food on my torts bowl, clear of substrate (coconut coir) but he always drags it off into the substrate and eats a little. Any suggestions on how to stop this?
Haha yeah I actually added more substrate this morning to it since I heard it holds humidity better. Ummm yeah I'm looking into getting plants definitely, any suggestions? For live plants.
My tort is usually in his much bigger outdoors enclosure but sometimes I feel like 110 degree weather is too hot for a baby so I bring him inside. I think he's spoiled now because whenever it gets hot outside he avoids his hide away (which I keep coconut coir in, misting it everyday) and shoves...
I let it out in the sun to dry and put it in a bag, squeezed most the air out and it's in my garage since my parents wouldn't let me keep it in the freezer.
Haha yes that's me! I decided to join the forum because it is quite informative :D but yeah he's dragging his food all over the substrate right now as I type...
First off, sorry for all the questions haha. I'm new to having reptiles and I'm only 17...
So I just switched my baby tortoise from alfalfa pellets to coconut coir. I made a little mound in his tank (he has an outdoor enclosure too, I put some there also) for him to crawl over. How do I tell...
I just got coconut coir substrate, the kind that come in bricks. I didn't know one brick could expand so much! Well, I have a lot left over that I want to save, in case I need to change out the substrate and put in fresh one. Is there a way to save it? Should I just drain the water out and keep...
I really should stop spazzing over everything but I can't help myself, I love my little tort too much. Here's photos of the new enclosure, any suggestions/what do you all think?
O my dad is trying to feed my 3 month old sulcata mangoes. Is that okay? I know they should be given fruit occasionally but my dad keeps ignoring this and thinks that just because he eats everything (like his koi fish) that means it must be healthy =_=
My dad just built my baby sulcata a nice enclosure outside and he has two hide always (I'll put up pictures soon). It's raining tonight and it'll get around 84 degrees f (I live in Phoenix, Arizona). Will this be cold for my tort? It'll probably get muddy since half of it is dirt and he's...
