Appreciate the feedback. Our vet had a similar opinion when we took the new tortoise in for a first check-up this morning. Deciding whether we can accommodate two or whether we must return the new fellow to prior owners (who are desperate to find a home for him as they are moving out of the...
Our Tyrion is now 4 years old and about 45 lbs. A friend of a friend recently approached us and asked if we would be interested in providing a home for their 20-something-year-old male who is about 65 lbs (no idea why our Tyrion is growing so much faster). We had a test run today -- putting...
Thanks for your kind words. Credit where credit is due, however. I received lots of good advice on this forum when we first brought Tyrion home -- about diet, care, temperatures, humidity levels, etc. If he's doing well, it's likely because we chose to follow @Tom 's and @Yvonne G 's advice...

Appreciate the suggestions!
Here is a photo taken from my tortoise cam when it happened yesterday. When it happened he was closer to the glass. He wiggled on his back towards the log hide after that.
My baby sulcata -- about 4 months old now -- occasionally manages to flip himself onto his back. He doesn't do it often (once every couple of weeks), but just when I think he won't do it again, he manages it. I have made sure that all feed bowls, rocks, etc., in his enclosure are flush with...
