Okay! So here shortly I will be giving Memito a much bigger home. I not going to build it from scratch as I am going to just repurpose an old dresser. I've seen in many outdoor enclosures that they have placed a humid hide. Memito will be staying inside because there are too many feral cats...
I soak my tort everyday but his shell still seems dry in some spots and his head is always dry. Is there any kind of cream I could put on him to keep hydrated?
No. My yard is just grass, clovers, and weeds. However, under my porch is some dried up stuff. I'm not exactly sure what's under there. I wasn't worried about it because he normally just ignores it and trots away.
This morning my Memito threw up in his water. He won't even eat his lettuce. I did give him egg yolk for the first time yesterday. And he spent a good amount of time outside so he could've eaten something out there. I am very worried and unsure of what to do.
I witnessed him eat it out of his enclosure but never inside. If he's gotten used to me taking him out, how often should I let him out to do his business? I take him out for about an hour for his breakfast and soak.
I don't EVER see poop in his enclosure. As soon as I take him out though, that's the first thing he does. Could it be possible that he doesn't want to poop in his space? Like dogs in their kennels type thing?
Is there anything I can do to make my little Memito more active? After he eats, he sits in his water for a few minutes and then just waddles back into his log and goes to sleep.
He get a variety of greens and every third day he gets fruit. I sprinkle calcium and he gets protein. He has all his lights. His humidity is 80% and his temp is in the 90s. He has the works! He even eats better than I do!
