I have 2 desert tortoises that are in hibernation and I am unsure of when they should be or when I should bring them out. Is it better to let them come out on their own.
Both of my CDTS are down for the winter in a shed in the back yard, they are in their own boxes with strips of newspaper surrounding them. I know it has gotten down into the thirties should I be worried?
Alice and Gular have gone down for the winter. Both CDTs are separated in big plastic storage boxes with no lids in a bed of newspaper strips. Wish I could go into hybernation.
I have 2 CDT's and the male I have had for approx 2 years, the female I have had for approx. 4 to 5 months, the male is blowing bubbles from his nose and the female is getting a little black around the eyes and nose what is this? And what should we do
I have a male and a female desert and I think they have gone into hybernation. Is it to early, if they are then I need to bring them in because they are in a hole. I have been told from some of you to take them out of the hole, so I guess I need some advice.
I have a male and female desert and they have dug a hole and are both now living in the hole, the male has come out some times but the female has stayed in the hole. I am asking if I should bring them both out of the hole and fill in the hole or ?
Thank you I was kind of thinking that. I have been bringing the male into the house to hybernate so I guess this is a good clue. Last year the male started hybernation around November.
