Hello everyone!! I am planning on starting my outdoor home for our red foot tortoise. my question is, when I build the structure, and put the supporting post on the corners, should I go a couple inches into the soil, or flush with the ground ok? It going to be around 6*6.

Yeah, she was just in a tank with really no lightning or anything else :( so I decide that I would take her when the other owner offered. Started doing my research and that's how I came across this cool and helpful forum. Do you think she's gone or is there hope?

Soaking her as we speak!!

At the moment I have a 28 gallon tank with the plans of building the new outside enclosure. Current temp is about 80 degrees and humidity at around 60%.

My only concern is the shell. I hope it's ok. The tortoise was recently giving to us. It was not kept in a good habitat. I hope that there is nothing wrong and she will be ok.
