Hi i have a red foot tortoise i just want to know if it is ok to use potting soil for the substrate

he just open his mouth again but didn't put his head up high he just open his mouth wide any idea what it could be

ok will do but i have a heat mat on a night but cant get it over 25 c what can i do to get it up a bit

In the day it is on the hot spot is 33 c and cool side 23 - 25 and night it will stay at 22 or 25 c humidity around 70%

but he does come out to get some water or food some times

the light i have is a bit bright but i do look and see all the time i look his eye s are not open

what do i have to look out for just if he is stating to get sick just want to be safe

i will take one now

he would not eat alot of greens but he eats alot of tortoise diet i got him to eat some greens a hour ago and i cut down on the tortoise diet
