    Zoomed Calcium Blocks?

Has anyone tried these Zoomed Calcium bricks? They have opuntia cactus mixed into them. I'm assuming they're supposed to act like a cuttlefish bone in the enclosure. Has anyone tried them? Thoughts? Opinions?

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

Yeah, it sucks, and i feel like dirt about it. I know that I tried really hard to save him. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. My other torts are thriving. So maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Thank you though. I appreciate the kind words, and everyone who tried to help. Even though...

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

Maggie, you are awesome. Thank you. I have already done all of these steps as of now since I got home from work, except the vet and the mvb unfortunately. My store doesn't carry the mvb's, so I'm bout to order one online and overnight it, if I can't find one at another store nearby. I called a...

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

Not that I have been able to notice no. It basically panics a little when first introduced to the water and backs up against the wall since its eyes are swollen shut and therefore essentially blind, then it calms down and just gives up, and flops down. It's really quite pathetic to watch. :([hr]...

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

Thank you very much. I really do appreciate it. The torts mean a lot to me and I've put in a lot of work to make sure they are happy and healthy. I want the best for them and hate to see the little guy doing so poorly.

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

Has the UVB bulb mentioned above, and a under substrate heat rope for 24 hour heat to keep everything above 80 degrees. A 150w basking light provides 110 degree basking spot with about 90-100 degrees surrounding it. Substrate is mostly Eco earth coconut coir and cypress much with a little...

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

The stronger one is not getting all the food. I feed them plenty to make sure of it. The healthy one doesn't bully at all. It doesn't get much sunlight because it's too cold outside right now, but I have a 4 foot UVB 10.0 fluorescent bulb running the length of the enclosure. They get a good...

    Please help! Sick sulcata.

So my sulcata hatchling, Tokka that I have had for a few months now, suddenly started becoming very inactive about 2 weeks ago. Then I noticed its shell starting to soften (top and bottom). Then it's eyes start to swell shut. It is no longer even attempting to eat. It doesn't move from wherever...

    Leaf litter

Haha, thanks Ascott. I was just looking that up. I'll have to get some pics going. I couldn't help but notice the mass amounts of leaf piles outside of my place today, and I wanted to start scooping then all up. I also just noticed that I posted this thread in the wrong section, lol.

    Leaf litter

Yeah, that's how limited my tree knowledge is....what's deciduous? I have no idea what kinds of trees are around me. I wouldn't have a clue about identifying them. I suppose I better start with researching what I have available and start trying to ID them.

    Leaf litter

So I want to follow some advice I've gotten on here and give some leaf litter to my Burmese. I am concerned however about not knowing plants/foliage well enough. Are there leaves out there that could be poisonous? Do they attempt to eat the leaves at all? Should any pile of leaves outside...
