As I’m currently in an apartment, I was thinking about getting a storage tub set up for it to roam around in while outside (it’ll be on a balcony as well), so it would never be truly ‘outside’.
I’m planning to keep it in a closed chamber while inside but thought that if I took it outside while it was soaking in warm water for 30-45 min a day it would be alright.
Planning to get a baby Greek tort and I’ve read that if you take them outside for 30-45 min a couple times of week it can replace the need for a UVB bulb in the summer. I plan on taking it outside at least 45 min everyday if the weather permits. Would this be alright?
I read that but had some questions. Is it okay to feed exclusively the dried (or rehydrated) mix and mazuri tort chow while they’re growing? And then sprinkle in store bought greens sparingly?
Planning to get a Greek Tortoise and was wondering what kind of greens I could use for a food source while waiting for weeds to grow in? Planning to give them mazuri Tortoise diet too and dried weed mixes.
I would also be soaking them at least once a day in warm water for 20 min. I can make a closed chamber as well, just wondering what I should use to cover the pvc (shower curtain?).

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking that spraying the enclosure down with water two-three times a day will help maintain humidity as well as having a largish shallow water dish. Also, I was planning to add in a humid hide as well as a humid corner (with damp sphagnum moss). I do have a 40...

Gotcha! How do you know how much food will last them a day? Also, would something like Repashy Calcium Plus (all in one powder supplement) be okay to use three times a week?
