    Finally Fruit

My little ornate finally tried some fruit -- banana. I have been wondering when he would be interested in something more then crickets and finally I saw him pulling apart big chucks of banana tonight and that makes me so very happy that he is interested in something new!

    Reptitherm UTH Issues

Reptitherm Under Tank Heaters I am not finding them to be very reliable as I have had two bad experiences with them this year. I am sending back a model RH-6 that is only 2 months old as it just stopped working - I don't have the box or receipt so just sending it to let them know it failed more...

baby eastern box turtle won't eat

With our little guy we had to actually hold the small sized crickets down in front of it for a little bit and shake it some -- we used these feeding tongs. It took about two minutes and then he hit it but he dropped it a couple times where we had to pick it back up and show it to him again but...

    Picture of setup

Yes they are live but I am not sure how they will do as this is my first setup with live plants and my first turtle so I will see how it goes. I got a list off the forum of what was safe. Picture of setup

Trying out the picture thing. Can't get his picture as he is dug in under the log underneath the light -- he likes it better then the half log hide we bought probably will remove that for more space.
