A new year, and we need new pictures of all your 2010 SA leopards. It looks like I may have a male and a female. I guess I neglected to get a carapace shot, but the two on the left are the SA's the others are the Babcock:

I'm thinking the bigger one is female:

Close up of the bigger one:

And close up of the smaller one. You can see the tip of his tail on the right side of the anal scute to the right of the cloaca:

How many 2010 owners took part in that group from Tom? I'm surprised no one else has chimed in recently except Yvonne . I'm just anxious to see how some of them have turned out.(patience young Jedi patience)

I love this. Those of us with 2013 Greg T babies should do a post like this! I wish the other Tom 2010 owners would post some 3 year reunion pics soon. All the baby shots are awesome.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. I was hoping more 2011 owners would be contributing. Perhaps the winter time has people away from the forum?

They are pretty cool! Much cooler as the babcockis! Is there anyone who know the leopards which have size between 25-30 adult from Zambia ?

All of my males are mounting each other. They started about a year ago. I've had to separate the females out into their own enclosure.

Very Beautiful Corey. I just love the dark coloration of Chuck. That's awesome that you ended up with a pair. What are they measuring in length?

Hopefully in a few years time and I have a big enough yard, I know exactly where to come to get true Pardalis.p If any of you have bred and are selling hatchlings.

Ok all of you who bought the 2010 SA leopard babies from Tom. Let's update this thread. Here are my two. First I'll show my male SA with my male Babcock. The SA is 4 and the babcock hatched in '04 so he's 10 years old and weighs 6lbs. The SA is, well, DUH! 4 years old and weighs 6lbs:

The SA is on the left, and still just as smooth as can be.

Here is a picture of the female SA, 4 years and 10lbs, alongside a babcock female, about 25 years and 23lbs:

So come on the rest of you who bought from Tom. Let's see your 4yr olds!

It's time once again for an update. We didn't get many responses last update. Come on all you members who have the 2010 South African leopards from Tom. Let's see how they'r doing/growing. My two are way bigger than my male babcock and he's a couple years older than the SA's. They're still pretty smooth...a very slight amount of bumpiness on the very top of the carapace. The larger leopard in the picture is my full grown female babcock and she weighs 25lbs. I have the females separate from the males because I don't think the 2010 female is big enough yet to have to lay eggs, and the male SA has reached sexual maturity already.2010 SA leopards 7-27-14 a.jpg 2010 SA leopards 7-27-14 b.jpg 2010 SA leopards 7-27-14 c.jpg 2010 SA leopards 7-27-14 d.jpg

I hope others finally chime in. Yours look great Yvonne . Your male has really developed since even last time. It's an obvious male now where as last time it wasn't so clear. Just beautiful

Me too, Heather. I've divided my leopard yard in two and when the female SA gets big enough to be able to pass eggs, I'll have them separated by locale. Right now they're separated by sex.

I wonder why no one else posts updates here? Tom - did you keep some of the 2010 batch?

It's worth noting the male Tom has with the irregular scutes which is said to mainly happen with females. And how elongated the males look compared to females I've seen. Very beautiful tortoises. Thanks for sharing
