Bro but she has a pretty good shell I feed her okra and lettuce n carrot salad every day n beans once a week n cucumber twice a week .pls help bro@Tanmay Ambekar
Surely the answer to your question isn't as simple as providing a walking surface which affords some traction... What is that? Bare tile? Marble? That's like walking on an ice rink for your tortoise.
If that doesn't work, then your tortoise may be experiencing metabolic bone disease. Stars normally walk with straight legs and keep their shells lifted high off the ground. Poorly developed bones and muscles will make doing so difficult.
Cucumber isn't an ideal food as it has a very high water content and doesn't meet many nutritional needshi there.. I own my first star and sulcata for 2 weeks now. the star is about 8-9cm. I just found today he (or she) is like the cucumber a lot. wont stop eat them. is that okay if the star given too much cucumber..?
Why I'm unable to see the pictures ? Can you post them again ?there hasn't been much activity in the indian star tortoise section so i thought i would share some photo's.....
