This girl showed up about 8:30 this morning and still here at a little after 11, she has been under the golf cart just taking it easy. Most likely will lay eggs sometime later.

Wow, she's a big one! Amazing animal there. Love the long spiked tail they have.

Yes it is a common snapper, and she finally decided it was time to move on. After seeing the way she headed out I believe she may have already laid her clutch, and have a good idea where it may be, by the leaves on her shell.

That is amazing. You should go find the location and build a chicken wire cage over it to help the little ones when they hatch. She is a beauty!

We were setting outside this evening and this little fellow came to visit,he is caked in mud so he just came out of the ground from last year, It doesn't surprise me that he and probably others are coming out this late in the year due to not having any spells of hot weather to really warm the ground up in shaded areas, Didn't see any others.

You have some great company. I bet the mother of this little guy was the big momma that visited earlier.

Wow amazing! Isn't snapper is a kind of aggressive tortoise?

It's a turtle however there just like any other animal. Some are aggressive and some are not, most people say they are but the same people intentionally make them mad to see them bite
