My son is looking to get a Greek. He has been researching for a year and just built a tortoise table for his room. We live in the Albany area and are having a difficult time locating one. I was told that you may be able to help. Thanks!!

  • About

I've been keeping and breeding tortoises and turtles for over 30 years. Most of that time has been concentrated on Testudo species including three Hermann's subspecies, Ibera Greeks, Marginateds, Russians and Egyptian tortoises. In the past I have kept (and in some cases bred) Redfoots, Burmese Browns, Bell's Hingebacks, Elongated, Parrot Beak, Speckled Cape & Bowsprit tortoises, Several species of American and Asian Box turtles and European and Northern American land and water turtles.
I usually have several captive born baby tortoises available each year later in the summer.
I make every attempt to maintain my tortoises in as natural "hands off" conditions as possible. My tortoises spend from early spring to late fall outdoors 24/7. Most are maintained or hibernated through the winter months indoors. Some hibernate outdoors.
I like helping new keepers get started with good information in order for them to have sucess and enjoy the hobby.
