That is awesome! I widh i could do a second floor in my enclosure. But just one concern, in te last photo, is that a sago palm plant? If so I have one too, and have found out they are very toxic to just about any animal, including humans. I don't know if this applies to tortoises, but it may be something you want to look in to.

It's fine, I checked the tortoise table, he can't reach it anyway.

Question, are bonsai trees safe? Thinking one would look really cool in there.

That's a great enclosure. One thing, I would suggest your bury the water dish to be level with the substrate. As for bonsai, they make so many of them now, that you should be able to find a safe one.

It is level, just looks weird in the pic. Any idea of any that are definitely safe?

What about this one, says it's edible for humans.

I know that tea tree is poisonous to cats, but I don't know about tortoises. I wouldn't risk it. Maybe you could find a bonsai olive tree?

What about juniper or chinese elm, olive ones are pretty pricey.

I found some conflicting infos about juniper, some say it's okay, some say it isn't but it does grown in some habitats of mediterranean species. I couldn't find anything about elm though.

You could try a smaller sunflower or a tiger lily (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilium_bulbiferum), they look nice and are completely tort safe.

Birch and oak are also safe.
