My tortoise fence was fine when they were younger (read lighter), but now that they are close to 300lbs the fence is not strong enough to hold them. @Will and I have already repaired several sections and strengthened them, but this is what I found when I went out tonight to make sure everyone is put up:
The boards are shredded. I was able to put up a sheet of plywood and pound in a few long cement stakes, but I have no more T posts, so it's not a real good fix. Tomorrow I'll go to Home Depot and buy some heavy T posts and fix it stronger. His problem is, once he's gone through a section, he keeps at it after it's been fixed because he knows he can. So it has to be fixed real strong.
We have them up for sale, but no one is breaking down our door to spend that kind of money on tortoises.
