Who raises that many Big tortoises at a time? Did these all come from one person? It would take a lot of land to house these tortoises correctly I would think.

Say one friend of mine, he has prepared about more than 6 ha (approx 15 acres of land) just for this purpose, to breed Aldabra and Sulcata. but the Aldabra is going to take some time as he only had a mature pair (over a meter length) and tens of smaller one.

That just one that I know of. We have lots and lots new players starting to think that is good business.
Thailand I think the best breeders in the South East Asian region.

This comes from one breeding farm... When they hatch, they just raise more than half to get them bigger and sells for more dollars. All is business..

It seems like in this country more and more people are looking to get rid of them when they get that big.

Not for Sulcata, not for me...
As for Aldabra maybe, as I still searching for the right areas, good climate, high humidity and safe remote area.
If that is the case.....What are those sulcata for??
