Ooooooo. I haven't been able to find it in stores so I didn't know. Thanks for the info!
Can you purchase a small bag for starters? I went to a pet supply store and they only offered a 25lb. bag. I'm not sure if he'll like it so I want to start out small.I get it online from Mazuri. http://www.mazuri.com/tortoise.aspx

Petstores don't have this one. I found mine in a feed store but all they had was in 25 lbs bags. There are formulas for both herbivorous and omnivorous torts. For the redfoots we need the omnivorous one bcs it's formulated with adequate animal protein content needed for them to be healthy.Ooooooo. I haven't been able to find it in stores so I didn't know. What beautiful torts! Love all the colors on them! And their shells are gorgeous! I might be tempted to get another baby (or couple of them) from you at some pointIt was a lovely morning so I decided to take some pics of the herd before it got too hot. Enjoy!

No worries! Any information is good information especially on where to find smaller amounts of Mazuri. Sometimes I see it in petco/petsmart.View attachment 215983, Allegra, sorry for going off on bunny trail here from your thread, thought this was important to address. I struggled with this same issue (no GOOD MAZURI) as well until Ed directed me to feed stores with this picture.
