Yours eat collard greens? Mine hated them and wasted the bunch. I may need to try again. It is abundant and cheep here in south florida.

Yes, my group eats them. Turnip greens are one of the few things they turn their noses up at...

Interesting, pretty much all of my tortoises(Leopards, Redfoot, Hermann's) prefer turnip to Collard(good since I believe they are lower in oxalates); I think it can depend a lot on what they were started on/offered when young. Collards are tougher in general and especially the stems, so some of them will only pick the leafy part off of collards and leave the stem even if they will eat stem and all of turnip, but most will at least knaw on them for a little while before deciding to move on in hopes of finding something tastier/more tender.
