Omg I'm so sorry it is heartbreaking
Im so sorry to hear about your Joe....My Henley is only 10 months old and I love him to pieces....I can't imagine how hard it must be after 47 years. Sending positive energy, happy thoughts and {{{{{HUGS}}}}}We are simply devastated. Joe came out of hibernation this morning and seemed OK but groggy as you would expect.
During this afternoon's soak his head suddenly went floppy. It recovered but we took him straight to our vet.
Sadly an x ray showed a massive tumour. The prognosis is very poor and we have made the decision to put Joe to sleep.
He's been part of the family for 47 years and we cannot imagine life without him
