peeling skin

My Russian tortoise's skin seems to be peeling alot... Is this bad and if it is what can I do to prevent it?

It sounds like he is shedding, which is a normal process for them. You might want to give him a few extra soaks and/or increase the humidity since it can be a little uncomfortable for them.

And if you have a warm enough set up, you can also mist the tort a couple times a day....likely would just feel good

Russian shed like all reptiles, they just do it in pieces, unlike snakes.
