I Must drive people crazy on sexing in this forum. I myself got a Russian in 2022 and if it wasnt for this forum, I really think id have a unhappy, unhealthy tortoise on my hands. I was literally doing EVERYTHING WRONG, because of a care sheet given to me from a store that probably just googled everything on it. My tortoise had daily diarrhea, wouldnt eat, could of drowned and just generally unhappy, so by luck I found this forum and with the help of complete strangers now have a happy 20 month old tortoise that just wont stop growing, healthy, always has solid motions and is very very clever! Especially when it comes to climbing and working out a strategy. Very friendly and always comes over to look at what your doing or just to have her head scratched. Anyway putting all that aside. Ive fallen out with a friend that bought one for his 5 year old girl about 3-4 years ago, which in itself is so many ways wrong. They have never changed the lighting, bath when the little girl can be bothered and made me angry in ways I didnt think possible. Try tadpoles next year. Ive asked this question with mine, but with being 3-4 could anybody guess the sex. Ive attatched as many pictures I could get before a good bath and scrub

My guess is it now looks male. Even though the tail is small like a female yet, the cloaca looks male.
See what others say.

Would you say 100%
Yup. The cloaca opening for Mediterranean tortoise males is a slit. The opening for females is a star. The tortoise pictured shows a slit cloacal opening.
