I picked him up out of his cage today and he felt really warm. He was alot more skittish and didn't let me pet his head like i do every day. He hasn't touched his food today and im getting kinda worried.

Is there a cool end in your tank? Or is the enclosure the same temp everywhere. My torts cage is 77 in the cool corner, 83 ambient and 92 basking and is happy and healthy, also a Redfoot.

Even so, he shouldn't feel that warm to the touch. Was he under a light? CHE?

How warm do you mean? My tort is warm when I take him out. Hey may just not be used to havig correct temps now that he is being taken care of by you. Your tort should adjust, but you still need a cooler side.

I'm not sure if that helped any lol. Mine is usually warm. Not hot, but warm, after all his enclosure is warm. You should move the probe to your thermometer around and get the temps of diff spots of your tank.

He may have not been warm enough at his previous owners and while you were researching after you got him. Now that you're getting everything spot on he may be just getting used to the adjustment.
