Gerards said:No, my babies as in I feed them and clean them. Lol! A buddy of mine produces them every year here in Florida. Hopefully one day I will have that honor. Wild caught animals do just as good as captives. They just don't look as clean, sometimes. I'm not in a hurry and think it would be cooler to raise them from hatchlings and get them to reproduce. Thanks!
I was just messing around. They are from Guyana locality, very pretty turtles I think. The Orinoco Matas seem to be the same. I heard they get bigger, maybe I will live long enough to find out.tortadise said:Gerards said:No, my babies as in I feed them and clean them. Lol! I was thinking was the frame of verbiage used . Best of luck and that is awesome your friend is successful. These guys need the help for sure. Which locale do you have if you know? Have you ever noticed any difference really in the Suriname, Venezuela etc.. locales? I don't know very much about these guys but had some biggens a long time ago. They are very amazing turtles. Fast as lightning when its food time.

Wow, so cool! What would you feed them besides "straight fish" to accelerate their growth?
