I was able to acquire a group of one of my favorite species this week, Cycloderma frenatum. They look a little beat up but have settled in and are all feeding, well! This is such a rare species in the US and I feel lucky to get to work with them. I know I just posted them but I got this video that I wanted to share. Doesn't she know she's not supposed to play with her food!? Hahaha..

That is awesome man. There's nothing better than having a rare animal eat for you like that. Such a beautiful turtle too.

Very good to see the turtle feeding for you. What type of fish is that?

It's a pilchard, easy to cast net a few hundred in a throw. They're the perfect size for larger softshells. I love fishing just as much as I love turtles.

Florida Keys=best fishing trip I've ever had. You guys have it good. Down there for more than just turtle stuff! Except for the current cold spell of course, but it'll be 85 degrees next weekend I'm sure.

Hopefully, this cold is crazy! Out of the nine frenatum, one didn't make it the first day. The rest of the group is doing really good! I'm very happy, they're all really thriving and feeding very well.

One of the best things about Florida is also one of the worst things.....the weather. Nice fish you got there!

The good thing about the weather here is, if you don't like it, wait five minutes. Thanks!
