I've built a new enclisure for new redfoot. I understand I need to keep the underneath of the orchid bark moist for humidity. One suggestion. Was to cover the box. I have no way to do this. I've heard of humidity boxes inside enclosures. Is this a good idea? If so how do I make one? Thanks

You need to buy or build the right type of enclosure. An open table cannot provide the conditions needed by a RF unless the whole room is hot and humid 24/7. A humid hide is better than nothing, but the air will be too dry and the substrate too wet with an open topped enclosure.

OK. So what should I cover the top of the entire enclosure box with to control the environment? A screen or plexiglass? And how do I keep airflow in the box for the RF?

Here are two ideas:

These are not air tight. Your tortoise will have plenty of oxygen to breathe.

Some companies make plastic ones that you can buy, but I haven't tried any of those myself yet.
