My male has finally come of age. I heard a weird noise and thought it was one of my cats...no. My male was mounting one of my females and making squeaking noises.

Question...should I split them up? How long should I keep them together to ensure conception?

Haha, the squeaky noises are so funny. If you want them to breed, I can't imagine why you would split them up unless he starts to really bully the female

Will they constantly mate? I don't want to wear out the females. I know I 'be read that even if I separate them the female can retain sperm and continue to lay eggs even if she isn't housed with the males.
