Getting Cold!

With temperatures dropping significantly this week, I'm concerned about my Russian Tortoise living outside. I live in South Florida and rarely see temperatures in the 40s but this week it's forecast to drop to 40, 38, and 43 the next 3 nights with highs of 60 and 62. I'm wondering if my tortoise should be brought inside. It's complicated by the fact that I'm currently away freezing in Nova Scotia so I would need to ask my neighbor to retrieve him.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

I would bring him in Patrick. I’m in South Florida too and mine are either in the house or outside covered with a heater. Better safe than sorry I think.

If you have an indoor enclosure set up and ready to go, there is no reason to leave him outside. He might survive, but why chance it?
