So I found a wild apple tree at the park.....
What variety is this? Edible for a red footed tortoise.... ?20230824_162319.jpg20230824_162324.jpg

Likely it's fine no matter what kind for a RF.

I'd try them.
As long as you're sure it's a type of edible apple.
There is an "apple" that grows here in the EVERGLADES that only looks like an apple.
Cut them into thin slices so that your RF can bite off appropriately sized peices more easily.
Get rid of the seeds. And be on the lookout for ants.
Feed it with other items.
Free food is good food.

They look like Granny Smith apples to me, but there are 31 varieties of green apples today. If the tree was pretty old, I would bet on Granny Smith or possibly Gravenstein (which I think is a bit less likely) as they are old standbys, and many of those 31 green varieties are newer ones.
