Hello I have a 14 year old red foot (rescued 9 months ago) in a 3.5 x 7 ft custom enclosure In warmer months he spends most of his day out of the enclosure in his own room. This time of year it’s cold here. His enclosure is heated with a basking light and a red bulb. The basking light is removed at night and a second red light is used. It’s 80 degrees in the main part and 78 in his sleeping area. The room is heated to 75. I want to decrease the room temp but maintain the temp in his enclosure. I am afraid of fires. I know, who isn’t? But I have an especially intense fear. We used ceramic heat emitters and the smell and intense hotness of them is scary. What does everyone think of panel heating ? His enclosure is waterproof panels in a wood frame. The top of his enclosure is metal screening thank you so much.
