Yeah I was thinking about doing that, but I just didnt want it NOT to heat up the cage very well. The enclosure is big and I am going to build a bigger one that will have higher sides... so I guess I will do a 100 watt and then if that isnt enough replace it lol... THANKS!

i just bought 3 of those of ebay for 100$ when each of those retail for huge prices. always check ebay they go for alot cheaper!

Thats a great price, were they new? Were they from a retailer or private party?

I use that light for my leopard, it's great.
Just be careful and let it cool down before moving it
or it may break.
I had a scare with mine, jiggled it a bit and it shut off then wouldn't come back on
til it had cooled down. Phew

Which ones do you have the 100 watt or 160 watt?

okay I am reading and a lot of reviews say stay away from zoo med cause they go out quickly... does anyone use this??

also for a night time light is there a certain mercury vapor bulb or something like that I dont know about? Or could someone post what bulb they prefer to use? THANKS!!!!

What do you mean by night time light? Night should mean no light. Do you mean heat? A ceramic heat emitter or black light bulb should do the trick. MVBs only come in the light/heat/UVB combo.

The light I use during the day is a 160watt, good and hot and I use a ceramic
heat emitter for nighttime.
I'm in Canada so we're very cold in the winter.
