What's this and can they eat it?

Got loads of theses leafs in my grass just wondered what it was and can my tortoises eat it?

It might be curly dock. Dig one up and see if it has a carrot-like root tuber. Dock is edible.

Yes, that's curly dock. I absolutely HATE it in my horse pasture because the horse doesn't eat it, and it puts out a long spike with millions of seeds on it. I always try to dig them out before they go to seed. Because of all the seeds, it soon takes over whatever plot of land it is growing on.

Got loads in my garden at the mo, just trying to find different things to feed my tortoises as not been much about as weather in uk has been so cold
